Who doesn’t love a delicious meal for a special day like Father’s Day? If you want to take him to something casual, kid friendly and maybe even drink a beer or two -- Strang Hall in Downtown Overland Park is the perfect environment.  This restaurant features six different and various restaurants to choose from for a unique experience. You can bring him and the kids to enjoy a meal outside or inside, grab a drink and enjoy the downtown ambience. A personal favorite kitchen to recommend would be the Anousone kitchen (Southeast Asian) or the Solstice kitchen (seasonally fresh). Both of these offer a variety of rich flavor where you can order bowls, salads, or pastas. 

3. General Store - OP 

After a delicious meal at Strang Hall, walk to the General Store for apparel and small gifts to spoil him with. The General Store has a variety of gifts for him to pick out or you could surprise him. The General Store is a modern mercantile store that offers a wide selection of every-day goods. I personally love how they organize their store and have a little bit of everything for every occasion. This store you walk in with one thing in mind -- to purchase -- yet you will leave with more than you intended. 4. Brew Labs - OP 

This is the backyard for the craft beer lovers who want to learn how to make your own beer. They offer three different experiences for him and his friends (or family). You can either walk in and learn the ropes, take brewing classes or brew from home. You can also plan and host an event at Brew Lab, they have a variety of packages that you can choose from. 

5. Made in KC -- Multiple locations 

Made in KC is the staple local shop in the Kansas City area, with multiple locations spread out, you can always find them around the corner. Sarah visited the Prairie Village location to shoot some content for our readers. Each location is similar yet different, regarding the location for each store. They sell a wide selection of KC apparel and goods. All locations have  home goods, accessories and wall art to food-drinkware, books and apothecary. One of their newest locations that I have gone to most frequently, is their Lee’s Summit location in Summit Fair. They have a patio, cafe, bar and their original KC merch. You can definitely find a variety of items to gift dad this year, plus find something for yourself, because why not?
